Laws concerning the purchase, possession, and use of alcohol are strictly enforced in Ohio and on campus. In order to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages, you must be 21 years old, and you must show identification to prove your age. It is illegal to sell or give alcohol to someone who is under 21. Drinking alcohol in public places other than a bar or a restaurant is prohibited. Students who are 21 years or older are allowed to drink alcoholic beverages in their rooms in the graduate and undergraduate residence halls. Driving a car while under the influence of alcohol is a crime and endangers your life and the lives of others.
